Madsen receives a winning ‘Touch’

Pic takes best picture, actress Bodils

COPENHAGEN — Lauren Bacall stopped in Copenhagen Sunday, on her way home from shooting Danish director Lars von Trier’s “Dogville,” to present the best picture nod at Denmark’s critics awards, the Bodils, to Ole Christian Madsen’s “Losing Touch.”

Pic, about a woman (Stine Stengade) who returns to her family after a psychiatric ward sojourn, also took actress kudos. Madsen’s Dogma film swept the local film awards — the Roberts — last month.

‘Clapping’ for actor

Gert Fredholm’s “One Hand Clapping” garnered veteran Jens Okking the actor nod and newcomer Susanne Juhasz the prize for supporting actress. Tommy Kenter won for supporting actor in Niels Arden Oplev’s “Chop Chop.”

Peter Jackson’s “The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring” was named best U.S. feature, and Swedish director Roy Andersson’s “Songs From the Second Floor” best non-American film. Writers Morten Piil and Peter Schepelern were honored for contributions to Danish film literature.
