Andrew Kramer has joined Phoenix Pictures as executive veep of Phoenix Pictures.
Kramer will oversee the business and legal affairs of the company, as well as its upcoming slate of movies and TV projects. He will report directly to prexy and chief operating officer Arnie Messer. He also will assist in facilitating Phoenix Pictures’ domestic and international distribution and its financing structure.

Worked at Canton Co.
Before joining Phoenix, Andrew was COO of the Canton Co., where he was responsible for overseeing business affairs and operations as well as the company’s development and production activities under the Canton company’s joint-venture agreement with Senator Entertainment. During his tenure he oversaw the production of “Trapped,” directed by Luis Mandoki, starring Charlize Theron and Kevin Bacon, due for release in September.
In 1994, Kramer became an associate in the entertainment department at Mitchell, Silberg & Knupp. From there he joined Troop Steuber Pasich Reddick and Tobey, where he repped Sony Pictures, Fox, Miramax, Showtime, Mandalay Pictures and others.
Kramer subsequently became exec veep of Franchise Pictures and oversaw all business and legal affairs for its productions as well as Franchise’s domestic distribution arrangements.
