HOLLYWOOD — Veteran producer Michael S. Glick has been named senior veepee of physical production for MGM and United Artists, said Jeffrey Coleman, the recently promoted MGM exec VP of worldwide feature physical production.
Glick will report to Coleman and supervise administration of all aspects of feature production for the Lion’s two filmmaking divisions.
“I am thrilled to welcome a true professional such as Michael to the MGM and United Artists team,” Coleman said. “His extraordinary talent and prolific experience is a rare find in today’s industry, and I am confident that his proven strengths will greatly complement our efforts as we help to craft a formidable slate of first-rate films.”
Glick has been a producer for three decades, involved in the making of such films as “This is Spinal Tap,” two “Rocky” pics , “A Chorus Line,” “The Witches of Eastwick” and “The Godfather, Part II.” He was involved in the production of “Hawaii Five-O” and the original “Star Trek” TV series.
He previously has held production positions with MGM, Paramount, 20th Century Fox, Warner Bros., Universal, Filmways, Embassy Pictures and CBS.
