Twentieth Century Fox has tapped Paramount exec Alex Young VP of production.
Young, who will report to production prexy Hutch Parker, has been serving in a similar capacity at Par. He has been involved in shepherding projects including “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider” and the upcoming “Star Trek: Nemesis,” “The Core,” “The Sum of All Fears” and “Paycheck.”
Young joined Par seven years ago as an assistant to vice chairman John Goldwyn and has moved up ranks to creative and production exec slots.
“Alex is a remarkable young talent with an expertise in identifying and developing franchise pictures,” Parker said. “His passion and energy for event films will be invaluable to the future of 20th Century Fox. We are thrilled to welcome him to the studio.”
