Dugan’s Echo reaches veep

Director's next project is 'Jumanji' sequel

Kent Kubena has signed on as veepee and head of development for Art Echo, helmer Dennis Dugan’s year-old production company that’s based on the Sony lot.

In his most recent stint, as VP of Pearl Street Prods./LivePlanet, Kubena co-produced “Project Greenlight” with Matt Damon and Ben Affleck.

Dugan, whose helming credits include “Big Daddy,” just finished the action comedy “National Security,” starring Martin Lawrence and Steve Zahn, for release in January. His next project will be the sequel to “Jumanji.”

Company exec producer is Sharon Dugan.

Prior to LivePlanet, Kubena worked as an independent television and film producer.
