HOLLYWOOD — Gaylyn Fraiche has been promoted to director of development at Castle Rock Pictures. She will report to Liz Glotzer, president of Castle Rock.
Fraiche previously assisted Martin Shafer, chairman-CEO of Castle Rock Entertainment, and later was promoted to creative executive for the company.
Before that, she assisted directors Curtis Hanson on “The River Wild” and Kathryn Bigelow on “Strange Days.” She also served as script coordinator for writers Peter Seaman and Jeffrey Price on the television series “Johnny Bago.”
She began her career in television at Papazian-Hirsch Entertainment.
Fraiche’s promotion comes in the wake of Castle Rock’s staff cutbacks several months ago, when the company laid off 16 of its then-46 employees (Daily Variety, April 30).
