Summit Entertainment will handle international sales on Kopelson Entertainment’s “Blackout” for Intertainment.
Pic, which stars Ashley Judd, Andy Garcia and Samuel L. Jackson, is in production in San Francisco. Paramount Pictures handles domestic distribution.
Directed by Philip Kaufman (“Quills”) and written by Sarah Thorp and Kaufman, “Blackout” is the story of a street-smart police officer investigating a serial killer whose victims are intimately linked to her.
Arnold and Anne Kopelson produce with Barry Baeres and Linne Radmin for Par and Intertainment.
“We are truly excited to be involved with a project and a team of such high caliber,” said Patrick Wachsberger, Summit’s prexy-CEO.
Summit’s current slate includes the Par pics “Around the World in 80 Days” and “Beyond Borders” as well as the horror title “Wrong Turn.”
