‘Baker’ gets a cook

Bender to produce conspiracy thriller for Myriad

Stefan Schwartz (“Shooting Fish”) has signed up to direct “Baker Street,” which Lawrence Bender is exec producing for Myriad Pictures.

The $15 million project is a conspiracy thriller, based on the true story of a bank robbery in 1971 London.

Script, by Dick Clement and IanLaFrenais, suggests that the heist was staged by the British Secret Service to steal compromising photographs of politicians which were held in the bank vault.

Myriad is hoping to greenlight the production to shoot this fall in London, subject to casting.

Pic was originally in development with Miramax. Ross Bell (“Fight Club”) will produce.
