ACE keeps top spot for Hirsch

Prexy, VP, secretary, treasurer to continue leadership

HOLLYWOOD — The American Cinema Editors have re-elected Tina Hirsch, the org’s first female president, for another two years.

Christopher Cooke was re-elected secretary, a post he has held since 1998, while Howard Smith will remain VP and Edward Abroms continues as treasurer through 2003.

Lillian Benson, Stephen Lovejoy and Michael Tronick join Allan Holzman, Doug Ibold, Randy Roberts, Alan Heim, Martin Nicholson, Eric Sears and Ted Rich on the board. Benson, the first African-American woman to join the org in 1991, is the first black female on the board.

ACE is an honorary society of motion picture editors founded in 1950.
