Academy promotes Greenfield

Vet succeeds Angel as theater operations coordinator

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences has tapped Moray Greenfield as theater operations coordinator. She succeeds Michael Angel, who was recently upped to the post of membership administrator.

Greenfield will be responsible for rental bookings of both the Samuel Goldwyn Theater and the Academy Little Theater, supervision of theater staff and oversight of the theaters’ physical and technical upkeep.

“Moray has been so intimately involved in the day-to-day operation of our theaters for the past several years that she probably won’t even notice that she’s now in charge,” Academy executive director Bruce Davis said. “But it’s reassuring for the rest of us to know that the Academy’s theater operations will continue to be effectively and efficiently managed.”

Greenfield began her Academy gig in 1989 as assistant to then-program coordinator Richard Miller; she has been with the theater operations department since 1991.
