MADRID — The San Sebastian Film Festival (Sept. 19-28) has selected 10 Spanish or Latin American films for its Films in Progress showcase.

Launched this year as a joint initiative with the Toulouse Latin American Cinemas Festival, the showcase presents rough cuts of films in post-production that require completion financing.

Pics are Bruno Lazaro Pacheco’s “It’s for You” and Nacho Cerda’s “Ataudes de luz,” both from Spain; Gabriel Bertini’s “Capital rancho,” Gaston Biraben’s “Cautiva” and Santiago Loza’s “Grieta,” all from Argentina; Luis Alberto Restrepo’s “La primera noche” and Victor Gaviria’s “Sumas y restas,” both from Colombia; “Fuera de juego,” from Ecuador’s Victor Arregui; and Joel Cano’s “7 dias, 7 noches,” from Cuba.

The showcase will close with the first part of Francisco Lombardi’s “Ojos que no ven.”
