Kodak kudo Cannes ticket

Student will get chance to screen clip on Croisette

The winner of the Kodak Award for best student cinematography at the Palm Springs Intl. Festival of Short Films will receive an opportunity to attend the 2003 Cannes Film Festival.

Recipient will be invited to showcase a clip of his or her film and meet industry professionals from around the world at the French fest as part of the Kodak Student Filmmaker Program.

As a major fest sponsor, Kodak provides $7,500 in film stock to winners in the four other student categories recognizing achievement in animation, live action (both over and under 15 minutes) and docu.

With the addition of the new category, fest will hand out 20 kudos in 11 categories. Event, Aug. 6-12 at the Camelot Theaters, will feature more than 275 films from 30 countries.
