BRUSSELS — Director Shekhar Kapur’s remake of Zoltan Korda’s 1939 epic “Four Feathers,” starring Heath Ledger, will get its Euro preem at the Flanders Intl. Film Fest, which kicks off Oct. 8
Among the guests expected to attend are thesps Jeanne Moreau, Juliette Binoche and Jean Reno.
The program for the 29th fest, which wraps Oct. 19, includes a 12-feature competition. Among the 12 entries are British feature “Bloody Sunday,” directed by Paul Greengrass, and Canadian director David Cronenberg’s “Spider” starring Ralph Fiennes.
World premieres include three Belgian-directed features: Danny Deprez’s “Science Fiction,” “Hide and Seek,” by Gerrit Messiaen and Robert Visser, and Dominique Standaert’s directorial debut “Hop,” Belgium’s first digitally shot film, which opens the fest.
