Director Shekhar Kapur’s remake of Zoltan Korda’s 1939 epic “The Four Feathers,” starring Heath Ledger, will get its Euro preem at the Flanders Intl. Film Fest, which kicks off Oct. 8.
Among the guests expected to attend are thesps Jeanne Moreau, Juliette Binoche and Jean Reno.
The program for the 29th fest, which wraps Oct. 19, includes a 12-feature competition. Among the entries are British feature “Bloody Sunday,” directed by Paul Greengrass, and Canadian director David Cronenberg’s “Spider,” starring Ralph Fiennes.
World premieres include three Belgian-directed features: Danny Deprez’s “Science Fiction”; “Hide and Seek,” by Gerrit Messiaen and Robert Visser; and Dominique Standaert’s directorial debut “Hop,” Belgium’s first digitally shot film, which opens the fest.
