Jeremy Davies has joined George Clooney and Natascha McElhone in the Steven Soderbergh-directed sci-fi drama “Solaris,” produced by Lightstorm Entertainment for Fox.
The Endeavor-repped Davies is coming off Lars von Trier’s “Dogville” and HBO’s “The Laramie Project.”
Scripted by Soderbergh, “Solaris” is an adaptation of a Russian novel by Stanislaw Lem that first found its way to the screen as a 1972 Andrei Tarkovsky-directed Russian film. Story revolves around an astronaut sent to rescue scientists on a space station. He finds the commander dead and the two survivors driven mad by visions that soon find their way to him as well.
