WIDE BREAKS
photos/charts/preview_beautiful_mind.jpg>
January is a big month for awards hopefuls to break out of niche runs and reach mainstream auds. Recently, "A Beautiful Mind" recorded the best wide bow for a January platform over the past five years. This weekend, Sony’s "Black Hawk Down" and "The Shipping News" go wide, with "I Am Sam" skedded for the following frame.
