HOLLYWOOD — Roland Joffe has been tapped by the Costume Designers Guild to receive its Distinguished Director Award.
Joffe will be honored at the fourth annual Costume Designers Guild Awards March 16 at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Previous winners include Aaron Spelling, Paul Mazursky and Warren Beatty.
Joffe received director Oscar nominations in 1984 for “The Killing Fields” and in 1986 for “The Mission,” which received seven noms. Other credits include “City of Joy” and “The Scarlet Letter” as director, “Fat Man and Little Boy” as writer and director and “Vatel” as producer and director. Joffe also exec produces “Undressed” for MTV.
