Chip Schutzman has been tapped veep of artists relations for Multicast Technologies, a provider of technology to distribute audio and video over the Internet and operator of Net radio station On-the-I.com. Schutzman formerly was director of programming for the House of Blues’ digital division. In his new post, Schutzman will head the company’s LiveCast division, reporting to CEO Marshall Eubanks.
While at the House of Blues, Schutzman is credited for creating Web site HOB.com., which features Webcasts of music groups that perform at the company’s clubs. He also is credited with the development of all 20 original programs within the HOB Internet Radio Network. He previously was as general manager for radio station WCUR-AM and went on to work for several Clear Channel Entertainment radio stations.
