Fandango expands with Buy.com

Ticket seller Fandango announced a strategic alliance with Buy.com and e-commerce provider United Commerce Service that will allow people buying tickets to also purchase other products, such as books, movie soundtracks, DVDs and games at the same time.

Under the deal, UCS will provide the Internet infrastructure linking Buy.com inventory in six entertainment-related categories to Fandango’s online movie-ticket selling apparatus. Fandango handles online ticketing for 600 theaters nationwide with more than 7,300 screens.
