Intertainer clicks on ‘Street’

Video-on-demand company Intertainer said it has signed a licensing deal to distribute “Sesame Street” through its cable- and Internet-based networks.

Intertainer will have rights to 21 “Sesame Street” specials and episodes that it will make available on a video-on-demand basis to its viewers. Paul Marcum, Sesame Workshop’s VP and general manager of the interactive media group, said VOD is rapidly becoming a mass-entertainment medium, and the educational company partnered with Intertainer because it can deliver shows on multiple platforms.
