Vivendi Universal has named AOL Time Warner veteran Andrew J. Kaslow as senior executive VP in charge of the French conglom’s human resources department. Paris-based Kaslow also will join Vivendi U’s executive board.
Kaslow will run Vivendi U’s HR operations worldwide, including scouting employees, career development, compensation, benefits and labor relations. He replaces John Borgia, who will stay on at Vivendi U in New York doing “various special projects” for topper Jean-Marie Messier.
Exec, who is fluent in French and Spanish, most recently was senior veepee of people development at AOL Time Warner, overseeing that company’s HR division. Before that, he was senior VP of human resources at corporate predecessor Time Warner.
Kaslow previously oversaw HR at several non-media companies, including medical products firm Becton Dickinson and Pepsico, and has held various exec posts at TRW, Eaton Corp. and Entergy.
