The Caucus for TV Producers, Writers & Directors has tapped a slate of officers, with longtime member Chuck Fries as the new chair for the next two years.
Fries has served five previous terms as chairman of the caucus. He noted that the org is closely monitoring the industry’s ongoing consolidation and its impact on creative rights and the ability to compete.
The Caucus tapped Anne Hopkins, Fay Kanin and Michael Zineberg as co-chairs, with Lee Miller as secretary and Norrnan Powell as treasurer. New members of the steering committee are Gerry Abrams, Bill Blinn, Sam Denoff, Bonny Dore and Leonard Hill.
Steering committee members continuing for another year are Jennifer Alward, Steve Binder, Gil Cates, Lionel Chetwynd, Dennis Doty, David Gerber, Roger Gimbel, Fred Silverman and Greg Strangis. New alternates, tapped for one-year terms, are Bill Bast, Roy Campanella II, Vin Di Bona, Phil Gurin, Craig Haffner and Frank Price.
