The sixth SportelAmerica market will be held in Miami March 25-28.
Last year’s market attracted 900 participants representing 389 compa-nies from 52 countries. Given the global economic situation, organizers expect this year’s attendance to be off by about 10%.
Like the SportelMonaco event held in the fall, SportelAmerica brings together media execs, buyers, produc-ers, event organizers and reps from sports federations.
Exhibitors include Dentsu, ESPN Intl., the European Broadcasting Union, Eurosport, Fox Sports Intl., HBO Enterprises, Major League Baseball, NFL, NBA and WWF Entertainment.
The confab will include panel “Sponsorships That Score,” looking at sports sponsorships and how to get the most out of ad and marketing invest-ments.
