COLOGNE — RTL Group, Europe’s largest TV broadcaster, is fueling border-crossing interaction between its webs by broadening the responsibilities of several senior executives.
Gerhard Zeiler, head of the group’s largest single operation, RTL Television, will join the management board of France’s M6, and the supervisory bodies of German channels RTL II and Super RTL. He will keep his CEO post at RTL Television and his seat in the supervisory board of Vox TV.
Dick Van der Graaf, CEO of HMG in the Netherlands, will join the board of Hungarian web RTL Klub for one year. RTL Klub CEO Dirk Gerkens has been a member of HMG’s board for a year.
RTL Group last month set up an operations management committee to integrate operations.
“We can bundle the strengths and talents of our major businesses across the main European markets, and we can exchange our entrepreneurial and creative know-how extremely quickly,” said RTL Group topper Didier Bellens on the appointments.
