Management units merge

Overbrook pacts with Gerson Saines

HOLLYWOOD — Will Smith’s producing partner, James Lassiter, has merged the management division of their Overbrook Entertainment with Emily Gerson Saines’ Gotham-based Gerson Saines Management, forming a bicoastal entity to be called Brookside Artists Management.

Overbrook-managed clients include Smith, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Whitney Houston and Nona Gaye.

GSM client rosters includes “Sex and the City” star Cynthia Nixon, rapper Mos Def and Mekhi Phifer (“ER,” “8 Mile”) as well as the acting Culkin clan — brothers Macaulay, Kieran and Rory — and Anson Mount (“City by the Sea”).

Brookside’s other managers include music managers Miguel Melendez and John Dukakis, and talent managers Scott Karp and Adam Schweitzer.
