Suzanne Kolb has been upped to exec VP of marketing for the WB network, while Frog marketing mavens Dean Norris and Betsy McGowen have earned their senior VP stripes.
Kolb, who had been senior VP of strategic marketing for the net, will be responsible for all promotions, media planning, radio advertising, affil marketing and marketing for Kids’ WB. She reports to WB marketing co-prexys Bob Bibb and Lew Goldstein, who announced the promotion Wednesday.
Bibb and Goldstein issued a joint statement calling Kolb “a bright, young star” who “continues to position the network as a vital component to the lifestyles of the teen and young adult audiences.”
Kolb came to the Frog in 1996, creating the net’s promotion department. She had previously been at Grey Advertising, where she worked on marketing initiatives for company client ABC.
Meanwhile, Norris has been named senior VP special projects and production for the WB. Six-year Frog vet, who reports to Bibb and Goldstein, is responsible for all filmed advertising campaigns for the net and exec produces all the net’s live events.
He began his WB career as director of special events and was upped to veep in 1999.
As for McGowen, she’ll serve as senior VP of marketing for Kids’ WB, reporting to Kolb. She’ll develop long-term marketing strategies for the unit, while overseeing the team that produces on- and off-net promos for the Kids’ WB.
McGowen came to the Frog in 1995 as an on-air promo scribe.
