Vet to set up Gotham-based firm
Longtime international vet S. Anthony Manne, exec VP of marketing and distribution for Columbia TriStar Film Distributors Intl., is ankling to set up his own New York-based consulting firm.
As head of new company Bristol Media Intl., Manne will have a nonexclusive consulting deal with CTFDI.
Manne has worked in the film industry for 39 years — more than 30 at Col — and has held various management positions for Hollywood studios in Rio de Janeiro, Rome, Paris and Lisbon. He began his career as a trainee in New York with Columbia Pictures in 1963 and was the 1997 recipient of Cine Asia’s distributor of the year award. He was promoted to his current position at CTDFI in 1997.
