Feevee channel provider-producer XYZ Entertainment has launched an international sales division to exploit its library of locally produced lifestyle and youth/music programming.
Broadcasting vet Lee Sampson, who has worked for the Nine Network and News Corp. in London and as a consultant for pay TV channels, heads the new unit. Sampson, who reports to XYZ CEO Patrick Delany, will scout for international co-production opportunities for new shows and the company’s current series. A joint venture between Foxtel and Austar, XYZ operates Channel V, the LifeStyle Channel, Arena TV and musicMax, and, in partnership with Viacom, the Australian Nickelodeon Channel.
XYZ produces more than 1,500 hours of programming annually.
