Wink Communications has expanded its relationship with TBS, inking a two-year deal to create interactive versions of CNN, CNN Headline News, TBS Superstation and Turner Network Television. Financial terms were not disclosed. Wink’s interactive television technology will be used for advertising and e-commerce enhancements on the TBS networks. Past enhancements on TBS Superstation included the shows “WCW Thunder,” “Dinner & a Movie” and “Ripley’s Believe It or Not” and on TNT, “ER” and “WCW’s Monday Night Nitro.” The companies are evaluating additional programs to enhance. Introduced in 1998, Wink’s technology is available to nearly 2.5 million satellite and cable households in North America.
