Theme park bows ‘Million’

Gameshow bows at Disney World

MIAMI — For all those would-be millionaires, Walt Disney World will offer the next best thing to a TV appearance: It will bow “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire — Play It!” on April 7 at Disney-MGM Studios in Florida.

Players will compete for points, not dollars, which can be exchanged for prizes.

The “Millionaire” production company has been working closely with Walt Disney Entertainment to ensure that the live attraction closely simulates the TV experience, though resemblance to Regis Philbin is apparently not a prerequisite for would-be hosts.

The attraction does feature a replica of the ABC gameshow set and has a capacity of 600. The show will run continuously throughout the day.
