Sundance Channel has acquired U.S. television rights to “Scotch and Milk,” the directorial debut of actor Adam Goldberg (“Saving Private Ryan”).
The film will make its world premiere on the cable net Dec. 28.
In addition to directing, Goldberg wrote the feature pic and stars alongside Nicky Katt, Giovanni Ribisi, Clea Lewis and Cole Hauser. Pic also features a special appearance by jazz singer Jimmy Scott.
Goldberg plays a man who spends his days mourning the absence of his ex-love and drinking with his disaffected friends.
Deal was negotiated by Larry Greenburg, director of acquisitions for Showtime Networks and Sundance Channel, and by Goldberg and Adrienne Gruben on behalf of “Scotch and Milk.”
