Duo to develop drama, reality projects at studio
HOLLYWOOD — Writer-producer team Martin Kunert and Eric Manes, who created the MTV reality skein “Fear,” have sealed an overall development deal at Studios USA Television.
Under their six-figure deal, Kunert and Manes will develop drama and reality projects at the studio. The duo will work alongside the Studios USA-based production company set up by Danielle Stokdyk and Jennifer Gwartz.
Beyond their stint as creators and exec producers on “Fear,” Kunert and Manes recently exec produced the CBS drama pilot “HRT” with Mark Johnson. The duo also wrote “Campfire Tales,” which Manes produced and Kunert directed.
Manes also was a producer on the Kevin Costner/Kurt Russell feature “3000 Miles to Graceland,” while Kunert directed “Renegade Force.”
“We’re very impressed by Martin and Eric’s passion for creating versatile television projects, from one-hour dramas to reality shows,” said Sonja Piper Dosti, senior VP of drama programming at Studios USA. “We’re fortunate that they will be able to work with us in a variety of capacities here at Studios USA.”
Kunert and Manes are repped by Broder Kurland Webb Uffner and Evolution.
