Manville, who previously served as senior VP of international channels, will continue to oversee the studio’s growing portfolio of international pay channel investments. His responsibilities include daily oversight of Paramount’s branded channels in Europe, including the Paramount Comedy Channel in the U.K. and Spain’s Paramount Comedy, both popular niche webs in their respective markets.

Manville will also oversee Paramount’s expanding list of joint venture equity channel investments, which includes HBO Asia, HBO India, Cinecanal, the Film Zone, Movie City and Telecine in Latin America; Showtime, Encore and TV1 in Australia; and the Movie Channel in the Middle East.

“Reed has played an integral role in the success of our international channel launches and operations. His expertise in the global marketplace is unsurpassed, and this promotion reflects his increased role within our management team,” Waterman said.

Prior to joining Paramount in 1997, Manville served as VP of international business development at Falcon Communications, where he was responsible for a variety of joint ventures in Spain, Portugal and the Philippines. Before Falcon, Manville was president and general manager of KNBC.
