Studios USA Domestic Television makes eight. The domestic TV distributor said Thursday that it, like several other syndicators, will opt to forgo its usual exhibit-floor booth at the upcoming NATPE confab in Las Vegas.
Instead, the company will set up meeting space at the Venetian Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip. The National Assn. of TV Program Execs confab runs Jan. 21-24 a car-ride away at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
SUDT issued a statement saying that the company will maintain a presence at the convention.
“Given the current advertising and station sales environment, it is imperative that we do everything possible to cut costs,” the statement read. “When you factor the diminished station attendance and the quantifiable business return, we found it very difficult to justify the expense.”
