MTV gives Stamos a taste of reality

'Virgin Chronicles' asks musicians about first time

Actor-producer John Stamos and his Warner Bros.-based production shingle, St. Amos Prods., have inked a development deal with MTV to produce a reality-based show dubbed “The Virgin Chronicles.”

Based on a concept by Stamos, show would interview famous musicians about their “first time,” followed by interviews with the other party to see how their stories match up. “Chronicles” will then reunite the two to hash out the truth.

Last year, Stamos exec produced the ABC mini “Beach Boys: An American Family.” He is developing a remake of “Butterflies Are Free” with Storyline Entertainment for CBS and “My Quarterback” for the Fox Family Channel.

Thesp will star next fall on the ABC series “Thieves,” skedded for Fridays at 9 p.m.

Deal was brokered by the William Morris Agency.
