KNBC taps Godwin veep

Exec takes over news director duties for L.A. station

NBC-owned Los Angeles TV station KNBC has tapped Kimberly Godwin to succeed Nancy Bauer-Gonzales as VP and news director for the station.

Godwin segues from NBC Television Stations, where she was spearheading the company’s news digitization process for NBC’s 13 O&Os.

Bauer-Gonzales left KNBC in August and has since joined Young Broadcasting’s KCAL Los Angeles as VP-news director (Daily Variety, Sept. 20).

Prior to her work with the NBC TV stations division, Godwin was VP and news director for KXAS, the NBC-owned station in Dallas/Fort Worth. Previously, she worked as news director for WOIO and WUAB in Cleveland.
