ITV’S Liddiment to address Edinburgh TV fest

David Liddiment, ITV’s director of programs, will give the prestigious MacTaggart Lecture at the Edinburgh Intl. Television Festival this year.

The address, delivered by BBC director general Greg Dyke last time out, opens the annual gathering of the U.K.’s TV biz, running Aug. 24-26.

Liddiment has held his post at Britain’s biggest commercial web since 1997. He recently took on the additional role of director of ITV channels, following plans to combine the business operations of ITV and ONdigital, the pay platform co-owned by ITV companies Carlton and Granada.
