'Walking Across Egypt,' 'Night Ride Home' among skedded films
The Hallmark Channel has scheduled the U.S. TV premiere of theatrical pic “Walking Across Egypt,” a family drama with Ellen Burstyn and Jonathan Taylor Thomas. The movie runs at 8 p.m. Nov. 3.
Later in its November primetime lineup, Hallmark Channel has a batch of cable-premiere movies, including “Night Ride Home,” with Rebecca De Mornay and Keith Carradine; “Forbidden Territory: Stanley’s Search for Livingstone,” starring Aidan Quinn and Nigel Hawthorne; “Two Came Back,” with Melissa Joan Hart; and the eight-hour miniseries “Return to Lonesome Dove,” with Jon Voight and Barbara Hershey.
Hallmark has jacked up its programming budget as it seeks to increase its ratings and get its subscriber base above the current total of about 35 million.
