Fox casts O’con as VP

Exec to supervise 'Ally,' 'X-Files,' '24'

Fox has tapped Pauline O’con to serve as VP of drama casting.

O’con will supervise casting on Fox primetime dramas such as “Ally McBeal,” “The X-Files” and the new fall hour “24” as well as the net’s made-fors. She reports to Fox exec VP of casting Marcia Shulman.

“Pauline is one of the most knowledgeable and respected casting executives in the business,” Shulman said.

Before joining Fox, Shulman was director of casting for ABC, focusing on drama series and telepics. During her tenure at the Alphabet, she helped supervise casting on numerous projects, including the Emmy-nominated pic “Anne Frank.”

O’con had previously been a freelance photographer for the L.A. Dodgers.
