‘Farm’ auds bountiful

“The Farm,” hot Scandinavian reality program maker Strix’s newest format, is reaping heavy auds in Norway and Sweden.

It milked a 60% audience share Sept. 17 on TV2 Norway when 730,000 viewers tuned in for the first episode, while in Sweden the first episode on Sept. 24 brought in a 32% aud share on TV4 when 1 million viewers tuned in.

In the show, which airs five days a week on both channels, 12 participants live and work on a farm as it may have been 100 years ago. Each week, one person is asked to leave and the last one still at the old homestead wins a prize, which varies according to territory. Strix is the TV production arm of Scandinavia’s Modern Times Group.
