Veteran Columbia TriStar TV exec VP of production Ed Lammi has inked a new three-year pact with the studio.
Lammi will continue to supervise all physical production elements for CTTV and scripted programming at Columbia TriStar Distribution. His responsibilities have been expanded to include supervision of production for Sony Pictures Family Entertainment Group programming.
“Ed is a creative thinker,” said Columbia TriStar Television prexy Len Grossi, who announced the new deal Wednesday. “He is held in the highest esteem by his colleagues.”
Lammi said his job continues to evolve. “New technology and new ways of telling stories are constantly changing this business, and that makes it interesting and challenging to me,” he said.
Exec has been at Sony since 1987, joining as VP of production, focusing on comedy series. Lammi was later upped to senior VP; in 1995, he was made exec VP and given oversight for primetime network production.
