Columbia TriStar Intl. Television has upped Brendan Fitzgerald to veep of international production.
Based in Los Angeles, Fitzgerald will continue to report to Steve Kent, senior veep of international production.
Fitzgerald’s responsibilities will include all new biz in southern Europe and Latin America, including the origination, development and pitching of projects to clients as well as negotiations with local broadcasters and production companies.
Fitzgerald’s first major project will be the telefilm “Favorite Son,” marking CTIT’s first production for Globo, the world’s fourth largest network.
Fitzgerald joined CTIT in 1998 as director, international productions. Previously, he did a five-year stint at the Kirch Group in Munich.
