Carlin utters HBO spec

Perf to be b'cast live, uncensored from Gotham

Here are four words you can say on TV: George Carlin is back. The counterculture comic will return to HBO on Nov. 17 for “George Carlin: Complaints and Grievances.”

Performance, broadcast live and uncensored from Gotham’s Beacon Theater, marks the comedian’s 12th standup special and fourth live performance for the channel.

Carlin’s HBO debut was in 1977. Besides his standup specials, he has appeared in two “Comic Relief” benefits for the channel and hosted its 1995 event, “20 Years of Comedy.” His most recent spec, “George Carlin: You Are All Diseased,” aired in February 1999.

Show will be co-exec produced by Carlin and Jerry Hamza and helmed by Rocco Urbisci.
