LONDON — Granada U.K. Broadcasting managing director Stewart Butterfield has ankled the company.
Butterfield is the first senior exec to leave since parent Granada Media announced cutbacks and restructuring last week. He is skedded to exit by Christmas.
A Granada spokesman denied Butterfield’s departure was linked to the restructuring; he is said to be disappointed at not landing the job as topper of the company’s new broadcasting division.
Granada and Carlton are the two big ITV companies; ITV is the U.K.’s biggest commercial web.
