Blunden ankles TFI in turbulent times

World Brief

Ronald Blunden has ankled as head of communications for the TF1 Group, amid turbulent times for France’s No. 1 commercial channel.

Along with the recent “Loft Story” debacle, in which TF1 found itself roundly beaten in the ratings by rival M6’s hit reality show, the web has also had to contend with plummeting investor confidence.

The low point came a week ago when, after an analysts’ meeting, its share price plunged more than 18% in a single day.

Blunden told Daily Variety on Wednesday: “I’ve had six exciting, interesting years at TF1. It was time for me to move on.”
