The Kirch Group has sold pubcasters ARD and ZDF broadcasting rights to two dozen 2002 World Cup soccer matches for roughly $100 million.Deal still has to get a greenlight from the pubcasters’ advisory boards. Kirch and a Swiss rights marketing agency paid $1.5 billion for rights to the 2002 and 2006 World Cup championships.
