Brad Henke currently stars in the Showtime drama series “Going to California,” about two friends that drive across the country in search of a missing friend.

Henke says the role is a welcome departure from the one-dimensional parts he normally lands.

“I’m 6-foot-4, which makes it difficult to be considered for the lead of a series,” he says. “What’s great about this part is that I get the girl sometimes.”

After graduating college, Henke drove from Colorado to Los Angeles with aspirations of becoming an actor, but had no idea how to make his dreams become a reality until he accompanied a friend on a commercial audition and ultimately landed the role himself. His credits include “Gone in 60 Seconds,” “ER” and “Chicago Hope.”

Henke says “Going to California” is his most rewarding perf to date. “It allows me to show my range as an actor,” he says. “Hopefully this will be the thing that gets me better movie roles.”
