German outfit Earth Television Network will take reality TV one step further when it unveils two series and its Earth TV Net broadcast technology at Mip.
The system allows the transmission of broadcast-quality live TV images via international telephone lines from around the world.
ETN plans to transmit its new series LiveonEarth and AnimalLIVE. ETN Chief Exec Thomas Hohenacker says the programs will offer viewers and broadcasters a fresh approach to documentary and wildlife programming.
ETN is installing the first of what will be 1,000 cameras in Australia, New Zealand, the U.S., the Caribbean, Turkey, Dubai and Mexico, which will transmit to the ETN studios in Munich.
