Richter set for Creative Emmys

Titus exits hosting duties, E! to televise ceremony

Andy Richter will serve as emcee for the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences 2001 Creative Arts Emmy Awards, to be held Saturday at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium.

Christopher Titus (“Titus”) was previously slated to host, but recently bowed out; ATAS did not issue a comment on his exit.

Among the categories to be presented are: guest actors and actresses in comedy and drama series; commercial; directing for comedy and drama series; and music and lyrics.

Skedded presenters include nominees James Cromwell, Dana Delany, Jami Gertz, Patricia Heaton, Robert Loggia, Gary Oldman, Bernadette Peters, Annabella Sciorra, Jean Smart and John Spencer. Other presenters include thesps Scott Bakula, Enrico Colantoni, Dule Hill, Wendie Mallick, Gary Oldman, Robert Patrick and others.

Spike Jones Jr. is producing the kudocast; Barry Greenberg serves as talent executive.

Show will be shown Sunday on E! Entertainment Television.
