Some showed up at nearly every gala
Daily Variety covered endless parties last year, and some folks seemed to show up on nearly every guest list.
You have to hand it to them. Showbiz parties need celebs. And after a long working day, it would have been easy for them to go home and plop on the couch.
But no; these party smarties heartily livened up lots of galas. Lots of galas.
Hardly a fete foundered without a “Sopranos” cast member appearing.
And, just when things seemed to simmer down, someone from “Sex and the City” would show up in a gold spangled tube top. Representing the theater circuit were the omnipresent Nathan Lane, Betty Buckley and Rosie O’Donnell.
Among the other ubiquitous guests were, in alphabetical order, Casey Affleck, William Baldwin, Lorraine Bracco, Kim Catrall, Lea DeLaria, Edie Falco, James Gandolfini, Gina Gershon, Ethan Hawke & Uma Thurman, Heidi Klum, Kyle McLachlan, Cynthia Nixon, Tim Robbins & Susan Sarandon, Liev Schreiber, Chloe Sevigny, George Stephanopoulos, Ivana Trump and Frank Whaley.
